[Package] Smart Dolphin Trading

Description

Capture expansion. Exit on data.

An automated NinjaTrader strategy that enters once expansion is confirmed, then manages every exit through 3 adaptive, statistically-driven conditions – not a fixed target or a rigid trailing stop.

Expansions don’t follow a script. Exits shouldn’t either.

Most trends don’t reward you evenly. Early moves are noisy. Late moves reverse fast. The real opportunity sits in the expansion phase in between. But that phase doesn’t behave the same way twice.

Some expansions fade within minutes. Others run far longer than expected. A fixed target, a trailing stop, a preset risk-to-reward ratio – each locks in a decision before the trade has shown how far it can run.

Smart Dolphin Trading was built to solve one problem: staying in a trend while the odds are still in your favor.

What Smart Dolphin Trading does

Recognizes when expansion begins
Instead of reacting to every price tick, the strategy waits for the market to confirm that a real expansion phase has started, filtering out early noise and false starts.

Enters and manages the position automatically
Once expansion is confirmed, execution happens without hesitation, and the trade is managed for you, with no manual monitoring and no emotional decisions.

Exits before a fixed rule ever would
Rather than closing on a preset profit target or a rigid trailing stop, the system continuously evaluates whether the move still has room to run – and closes the position the moment it doesn’t.

Entry gets all the attention. Exit decides the outcome.

A single fixed rule, whether it’s one target or one trailing stop, can’t tell the difference between a trend that’s pausing and a trend that’s ending. That gap is where most gains get given back.

Smart Dolphin Trading closes it with 3 independent exit conditions, each watching for a different sign that the expansion’s edge is fading. The position closes the moment any one of them triggers.

1. Statistical extreme reached
The current move is continuously compared against how similar expansions have historically played out. When price pushes further than most comparable moves ever have, this condition flags it.

2. Directional shift detected
Momentum is monitored in real time. When the underlying direction of the move begins to change, before a full reversal is visible on the chart, the position is closed early.

3. Reversal through the statistical threshold
If price reaches the extreme zone and then reverses back through it, that’s treated as confirmation the edge is gone. The strategy exits immediately, protecting the gains already made.

Built on historical price behavior

Every exit decision is informed by how similar expansions have played out across a large historical dataset – not a static number picked in advance.

The result: fewer trades cut short too early, and fewer trades that give back gains waiting for a target that never comes.
